It’s International Yoga Day today, Friday 21st June
Contrary to popular belief, Yoga isn’t just about touching your toes, for the fit, young or flexible. It’s more about self-improvement, self-acceptance and a willingness to start wherever and whoever you are. It’s about being present in every moment. Yoga teaches you how to reconnect and listen to your body and mind (and what it’s telling you). These days we spend so much time rushing around and fixated on social media, we have become disconnected with our true selves.
Many people put obstacles in the way of why they can’t practice yoga. There are no obstacles on your journey through yoga, they are the journey! We call it yoga practice because that’s what it is, we are ever evolving. Practising yoga is a way of experiencing and improving one’s life, wellbeing and balance. Wherever you are in life and whatever you are experiencing, yoga will support and empower you. A word of caution though, yoga can seriously improve your health and happiness!
Happy International Yoga Day
